Moving...

elsewhere on cyberspace. What I thought would be an easy move seems to be wanting to prove itself more than merely uneventful. A week I would describe as 'light' has turned 'topsy-turvey' on me. So, I'll take it a step at a time. Should it happen that I fall off the net, I'll keep posts up at zeeherenow.

Today's my one month anniversary of becoming an Avon Rep. Yay! I went to the Leadership meeting, which rocked, and I'm totally fired up.

Not a bad day. 'Cept for this headache. It doesn't go away. Now, I'm off to ease it with some tea.

Single-minded Mutterings

  1. Lounge:: what i want to do all day today - it's nice outside!
  2. Photograph:: what i would like to do *while* lounging all day today, after all, it is very nice outside!
  3. Catacomb:: mole crickets make tunnels that resemble this, and there are way too many outside... did i mention it's nice outside today?
  4. Crucifix:: or rood-tree, similar to what i have going on with my rapidly growing willow tree ouside, where i'll go back to lounging soon as i'm done bloggin, cause it's so nice out...
  5. Fire drill:: an exercise i used to enjoy when i was in school. seems my son enjoys them just as much as i did, cause he's telling me all about all the different places he's been at in school when the fire-drill bell has gone off, and he's also telling me all the routes we can practice here at home... nice conversations to have with a 9 yr old, here, outside, while we lounge under the sun
  6. Tube:: a long hollow object, blue in color, which my daughter used to hammer at my son's head while we were outside, nice day for that, too, she says
  7. Dropped:: i dropped a nectarine i started eating on my way outside (you guessed it, nice day!). no loss, tho. i fed it to the birds. i miss Red. i think he's dead. :o(
  8. LTD:: limited - the time i should actually spend outside, even when the day is so nice, without proper sunscreen
  9. Panther:: i don't believe there's a chance in my lifetime that i would have the opportunity of shooting pictures of a Panther in it's natural habitat... but i do believe Panthers love to lounge on beautiful sunny days like this one, after a hearty meal
  10. Formica:: my hubby crafted a lil tray covered with formica, its easy to clean and durable; helps bring drinks and snacks outside, when it's nice enough to lounge.

sad post, i know... now i wish i could sleep all afternoon, cause even tho it was nice outside, i now have a headache. now, onto my blog-reads...

Restful sleep

I know my son is enjoying the deepest, most restful sleep as I blog this, that he will most likely sleep till around 11:00 AM today, because both his mind and spirit were nurtured and tended to last night, ending in our bedtime coming somewhere around 1:00 AM. What were we doing till that time? We shared some cuddle time in front of the tube. How can this be good and nurturing? Because we were watching Spider Power, on the National Geographic Channel. Very interesting stuff. We then followed this by, in turn, watching other fictional creatures in Men in Black II.

Ahh, boys.

I'm off to work. *yawn*

I would've loved to be there yesterday, and to have taken pictures. Better yet, be on for the ride!

You know, when I was a child, I always said I wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up. My dreams were filled with voyages to explore space. Somewhere along the way this childhood dream got archived, but not forgotten. The kid in me still dreams on, and guess what? There's still hope left for me. I guess I should start saving now for this $10,000 trip!

For now, I'll keep enjoying the pics. You can see pictures here: Scaled Composites

I love this: SSO & Moon

Ok, beginning of the week for me, loads of laundry to finish (more like tons!), dinner to prepare coming soon, then down to study for a while.

Didn't get a chance to log on this morning, but I'm finally checking my messages, rolling thru my daily blog reads, and posting my mutterings below. I've come to accept I'll never have these done on a Sunday. *sigh*

  1. Abundance:: seeing everything that surrounds us as a gift and appreciating it as such
  2. Casino:: trippled what i gambled once! :o)
  3. Shell:: chocolate, like the one you pour over icecream and hardens, becomes a, uh, shell
  4. Overpriced:: gas, but what's one to do, eh? gotta move...
  5. Cancellation:: small print found in so many important documents
  6. Eternal:: life, energy, thought, vision
  7. Lyrics:: a journal i used to keep was filled with all my favorite ones
  8. Faith:: just gotta have it, it's one of those bare necessities
  9. Because:: a word which triggers curiosity and wonder in children, only to be followed by the question "why?"
  10. Wimp:: issues

Yes, I followed the ladies' lead (Jennifer, Monique, and Jennifer), however, my results were incomplete, and I left the quiz in a total tilt.

Sooo... what do you think the missing ingredient should be?

Getting myself together

... took longer than I expected after watching the season premiere of Six Feet Under. Season four started tonight. I've been looking forward to it since the previous season ended. However, was I wasn't expecting is how it would affect, not the way it did anyway. I can't remember when the last time I cried like that was, like geez, even my kids were worried as to why I was crying so unconsolably. Since I couldn't utter a single understandable word, when my husband asked what was wrong, all I could do was point to the TV. He then picked up the remote, and took a look back at the menu. Without saying a word, he left the room, and returned with a glass of water for me. Sweet.

I do feel better now, took a nice relaxing shower and am now sipping some tea. It's the drama, I tell ya! And yes, I'm a lil crazy like that sometimes. So what? It's one of the few shows I love that hasn't ended yet. Besides, "it's not TV, it's HBO".

Definitely not camera shy

Ok, there were many dragonflies to shoot, but this one wanted the spotlight, made love to the camera, and didn't mind my getting too close.

I really enjoy the proximity, gives me a chance not only to delight in their graceful dances from bud to blade, but allows me to see all the different colours and markings the have. This one had the same tiger-ish coloured bands as most of the ones around the lake, but the white, rectangle markings close to the tip of each wing were more pronounced than that of the rest of them. Really neat.

Well, I've spent a good time today, relaxing, soaking in some rays, lounging while taking in my surroundings... all in a good summer day. I took lots of shots as well, about 29 -all dragonflies. I LOVE DRAGONFLIES!!

Here's a shot just so you have an idea how many there were (3 in this pic alone). I'll be posting another shot in a few minutes.

What have I been up to lately

I haven't blogged about so many things, new things, fun things, welcome changes, things I'm working on. So here goes sort of a recap of the last couple of weeks.

My kids have started piano lessons! I'm as excited as they are. Kiki showed wonderful progress; the fact that she was able to pay attention during the entire lesson simply amazed me, she doesn't really have a long attention span. But with music, wow, whole 'nother story... my lil' Mozart, hehehe. The teacher is wonderful, too. I'm so grateful to have found a person willing to spend time teaching my five year old. Bryan is a very bright boy, creative and imaginative, he's into everything he can sink his teeth into, especially books. I was surprised that he asked if he could have lessons, too. I'm just really pleased that he enjoyed it. We'll see how they progress.

I may have a new gym partner soon. :o) I currently go by myself and I love it (mom went with me while she was here), but it'll be nice to have someone to work out with; my friend will also be the first person I help as a Nutritional Consultant, so going to the gym together will definitely be a plus!

Site designs are on the works, for this and another 2 sites I'm working on. Actually looking at EE for the other site. There's also the photoblog, which I haven't updated in a week. No new pics. Let's see... have a logo to deliver to a friend. Painting is going well; I should post my progress soon (I'm shy, but that's actually one of the sites I'm working on... eeek!). I actually have a person that is interested in taking art lessons... from me! Just to think of it freaks me out! I mean, I've done a couple of programs as Art for Healing, very different approach, but lessons - that's something I've never considered. Who am I to give art lessons? She went on and on about my paintings and drawings; I don't really think they're much to see. *sigh* [Now you've met the insecure part of me.]

One thing I had purposely ommitted blogging about (but it's hard to further contain my excitement) is that I started my Avon business as an Independant Sales Rep again -I've even gone online with it this time! It's so wonderful; I'm so pleased... business is growing so fast already. Yayness! I didn't mention anything before because I didn't want to be at fault with some of the company's online linking and advertising terms. However, I'm pretty sure you'll read more regarding my adventures here.

Went to the BookCrossing MeetUp last night, stayed for a lil' while, enjoyed a nice time with friends. Masked Blogger was a no-show, and I had some things I wanted to share with him... (yes, you mister!) Released one book, caught 5. How does that compute?? hehe I have a lot of reading to do! Two I've already started, you can see them on the left side, third box down. That'll be something to go to another section of my blog, somewhere I can devote an entire page to, maybe even it's own blog. I'm toying with some ideas, we'll see how they develop. Crankydragon is moving, and I actually got all teary-eyed today just thinking about it. *sob* I have about 3 of the books she's released. We have similar tastes in regards to reading.

Guess that's as far as this recap goes. I'm falling asleep here. Yes, I know, it's not my usual bedtime, but I'm in pain and Percogesic usually sends me straight to bed.

I hope I didn't have the same effect on you.

Oh, before I forget, if you did fall half asleep as you read my rambling, here's something that might wake you up a bit... you'll need sound to hear this. Via Clayton.

Orgasmic.
