Definitely not camera shy

Ok, there were many dragonflies to shoot, but this one wanted the spotlight, made love to the camera, and didn't mind my getting too close.

I really enjoy the proximity, gives me a chance not only to delight in their graceful dances from bud to blade, but allows me to see all the different colours and markings the have. This one had the same tiger-ish coloured bands as most of the ones around the lake, but the white, rectangle markings close to the tip of each wing were more pronounced than that of the rest of them. Really neat.

I've saved my best shot for the gallery. ;o)

I really enjoyed shooting those. I wish I had more time to spend out there; it was a really wonderful day to be out, in more ways than one.
