Update
Hey yall, just wanted to give you an update. I arrived at Puerto Rico at noon and well, and went directly to see my grandma at the hospital. I was able to see her alive, but she wasn't able to open her eyes. She was barely breathing, in long, painful heaves.
My grandma passed away just 2 hours later.
Not much I can say right now, as I'm still kinda numb. I'm just glad that she isn't suffering any longer. She passed away quietly... we barely took notice; she left in a deep sleep.
Grandma, I love you, rest in peace.
I'm so sorry Zee. It was the same way with my Grandma about a year and a half ago. We arrived to see her alive, but she wasn't communicating. I know she knew we were there, though and she passed with her family all in one place. It was pretty hard for me though. (((HUGS))) to you and please let us know if you need anything.
oh zee, i'm so sorry. take comfort that you were able to be there with her and she's at peace.
I know how painful it is to loose a loved one. What I always say to people in these circumstances is that it's best that they pass on than continue to suffer.
It's natural progression... we're born, we live, we grow up and then when our human body can't cope any more we move on. Where... who know's but I'm sure that what ever happens, it's just another step in human evolution.
I'm glad you were able to make it in time, Zee. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

oh, zee. just catching up and feeling your pain right now. my grandmother passed away a few years ago, within hours of my arriving at her bedside - and i know that this was especially difficult for you.

I have been so busy at work that I haven't had a chance to read this until now. I'm so sorry for your loss hon. My heart goes out to you and I know what a loss you and your family have suffered. But remember she lived a long and happy life and it was simply her time to let go of her Earthly self and rise above to bask in the glory. Bless you and your family. Take care.
