Why I love my kids #117
As we finish getting ready for school today, we watch the morning news for updates from Hurricane Katrina. Yes, as a family, we like to pay attention to such important events, and how they may affect us.
Newsperson on TV: "[...] two people are dead in Ft. Lauderdale because of trees falling on them due to winds from Hurricane Katrina..."
Kiki: "Awww... trees falling down, Mom."

Is it completely and totally selfish that all I can think about is that I am going to Key West in November and I hope Katrina or her subsequent siblings don't destroy it before I get there???
HA HA HA that's adorable!!
Isn't that amazing? We're so used to the news reporting death, that TREES stick out now.
I don't know if I should think "how cute" or "hey wait a minute here...." heh.
That is funny eh..in a warped way.
That's what hit home to her because of what happened to her tree. That's what was real. That Kiki is the best.
I would expect that the falling down trees are rough for the trees and the poor people caught underneath them; either way, painful and sad.
kids are so refreshing, i swear.
